Trade fairs and exhibitions are trade promotion activities happening in a period of time and at a certain place for traders to display and introduce their goods and services for the purpose of promoting and finding the opportunities to enter into contracts.
Free Trade Agreements in Viet Nam
WTO members (as, previously, GATT contracting parties) are bound to notify the regional trade agreements (RTAs) in which they participate. Nearly all of the WTO's Members have notified participation in one or more RTAs (some Members are party to twenty or more).
In the period 1948-1994, the GATT received 124 notifications of RTAs (relating to trade in goods), and since the creation of the WTO in 1995, over 400 additional arrangements covering trade in goods or services have been notified.

On 25th January, 2016, Vietnamese Government issued Decree No 07/2016/ND-CP detailed regulations on establishment of representative offices or branches of foreign traders in Vietnam under Law on Commerce.
According to this Decree, representative offices (“ROs”) of foreign companies in Vietnam are required to submit an annual operations report on their activities (“Report”). The Report needs to be submitted to the provincial Department of Industry and Trade before the 30th of January of the following year.
On 12th December, 2016, The Presidential Office announced three new laws adopted at the 2nd session of the 14th National Assembly last month at a press conference in Hà Nội.
They are the Law on Amendments and Supplements to Article 6 and Appendix 4 on the list of conditional business lines of the Investment Law, the Law on Property Auctions, and the Law on Belief and Religion.
According to Deputy Minister of Planning and Investment Dang Huy Dong, the Law on Amendments and Supplements to Article 6 and Appendix 4 on the list of conditional business lines of the Investment Law abolished 20 conditional business lines to provide favourable conditions for people and businesses. It added 15 others that meet new requirements of State management of investment and business activities.
